Essential Safari Packing List – General
This equipment and clothing list is essential for pretty much any type of safari that you would go on in Africa. Please note that there are luggage weight restrictions on most international and local flights, so ensure that you are aware of and keep within the regulations per person - should you not be sure on what your luggage weight restrictions are for your safari, please contact us.

Clothing
Most lodges and camps in Africa offer a laundry service to guests, some offer same day collection and in other camps and parks you have to do your own laundry in machines provided. It goes without saying that clothing that requires as little maintenance as possible would be the best option for safaris. Some of the newer fabrics that are quick drying and that do not require ironing would be ideal for your safari. Dinners in the lodges and camps are relaxed affairs, and there is no need for “dressing up”.
- Short & Long Sleeve Shirts - Long can be for warmth, protection from the sun and insects in the evenings.Shorts & Trousers - Long cotton trousers even in summer can protect from the sun & insects in the evenings.
